AUSUFERN
Interdisciplinary Series
Since 2016, AUSUFERN has been a colourful summer programme series at the Uferstudios that offers direct access to new artistic experiments in various formats, genres and media. In the past years, artistic projects have been presented free of charge, which have particularly sought direct contact and engagement with topics and people from the surrounding area. Participation, subversion and reversal, the play with supposed boundaries or their deliberate transgression, characterise the programme series, with which art is filled and challenged by influences from the neighbourhood, district and city. Since its inception, AUSUFERN has been curated by Eva-Maria Hoerster, since 2020 in co-direction with Sandhya Daemgen.
AUSUFERN 2022
Plant meditations, ecological walks, transformations of traditional cultural rituals into the contemporary, feminist songs, storytelling around the fire, a science fiction workshop and a dance theatre piece for children, embodied listening sessions, new social dances and 'arm dances' as well as the collaborative cabaret "Across the Middle past the East" and a new party as part of the Social Muscle Club took place this year as part of AUSUFERN over two weekends at the end of September. The individual formats dealt with the various forms of togetherness in very different ways and linked visitors and artists with each other and with the Uferstudios as a place through cultural and physical practices.
